[T]hose called to the consecrated life, He asks for a total commitment, one which involves leaving everything behind (cf. Mt 19:27) in order to live at his side and to follow him wherever he goes (cf. Rev 14:4) (Vita Consecrata, 18).
First and above all, we give thanks to God for these two sisters who were able to make their perpetual profession, Sr. María Inmaculada Eucarística from Ecuador and Sr. María Cáliz de la Alianza Nueva y Eterna from Spain. These two sisters have freely made an oblation of their entire being to God professing to be Chaste, obedient, poor, and consecrated to Mary forever. Furthermore, with the grace of God they commit themselves not be elusive to the missionary adventure, to inculturate the gospel in the diversity of all cultures, to prolong the Incarnation of the Word (Const. 254).
Let us ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to protect and keep Sr. María Inmaculada Eucarística and Sr. María Cáliz de la Alianza Nueva y Eterna for her Son, Jesus Christ.
