Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name; good indeed is the LORD, His mercy endures forever, his faithfulness lasts through every generation (Ps. 100:4-5).
By the grace of God, we celebrate various anniversaries of our foundations.
This past August 5, the community “Gertrudis Deksel” in Kazakhstan completed 15 years of foundation. The sisters of this community work in the apostolate together with the IVE priests who care for the Parish “St. Therese of the Child Jesus.”
On August 22, the community “Maria dell’Emmanuel” in Teramo, Italy, celebrated its 5th anniversary of foundation. The sisters of this community are in charge of the school “Piccola Casa Santa Maria Aprutina.”
On September 1, the sisters of the “Venerable Concepcion Cabrera de Armida” community in Wauchula, USA, celebrated the 10th anniversary of their foundation.
On September 22 the sisters of the Monastery “Ecce Homo” in Valkenburg, Holland, celebrated with great joy the 15th anniversary of the foundation of the community. They celebrated together with the Benedictine Sisters, who asked, 15 years ago that a contemplative community of Servants live together with them in the Monastery, since they were all elderly and living together with young religious could be a great help for them to continue with the monastic life in that house.
Providentially, they were visited by Mother Maria de las Mercedes, the first prioress of the community. The three sisters Servants of the lord who began the foundation of this monastery in 2007 were present for the anniversary: Mother Maria de las Mercedes and sisters Maria de Lichen and Maria Regina Virginum. The previous weekend they organized an Open House for friends, relatives and members of the Third Order. It was a day of great joy for all, where they were able to learn more about the contemplative life in Valkenburg.
On September 24, the community “Santa Gianna Beretta Molla” in Magenta, Italy, celebrated the 5th anniversary of its foundation.
Also, this year the Juniorate in Argentina, “Santa Catalina de Siena” celebrated 30 years since its transfer to its own house for the formation of the professed when it was possible to purchase the property in Los Filtros. And in thanksgiving to God for so many benefits received throughout these years, the sisters who are in formation made a beautiful pilgrimage through the Jesuit reductions and various Marian sanctuaries.
