Fidanza (VT) - Inauguration of the new convent for the “International Juniorate House of Studies St. Theresa of Jesus,” which has moved from Tuscania to Fidanza.
This past February 4th, 2017, in the church of St. Francis, the Holy Mass was celebrated to inaugurate our new convent by His Excellency, Mons. Lino Fumagalli, Bishop of Viterbo. The mass was concelebrated by IVE Provincial Father, Rev. Ernesto Caparrós, Fr. Andrés Bonello, Rector of the Major Seminary in Montefiascone (VT), Fr. Gabriel Prado, rector of the Minor Seminary, and was attended by various diocesan priests and religious from Fidanza, and many other IVE priests.
After the Holy Mass, the bishop blessed this Formation House which houses around 80 young religious of our institute from different countries around the world.
The Monastery in Tuscania, which had housed the Juniorate sisters for the last 6 years has been converted into a house of monastic formation for those who desire to enter the contemplative branch of our Institute. We will soon have the official opening of this monastic community, which will in its first year, form about 30 cloistered nuns!
We entrust to St. Francis and to ST. Bonaventure, Patron of Fidanza, our new house of formation, that many holy religious can be formed to go into the whole world for the good of the church and the salvation of many souls!
